"HOLY ECONOMICS"
Friday February 15, 2008

2 Corinthians 8:10-15 (NIV)
10 And here is my advice about what is best for you in this matter: Last year you were the first not only to give but also to have the desire to do so.
11 Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means.
12 For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.
13 Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality.
14 At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality,
15 as it is written: “He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little.”2 Co 8:10-15

A PRAYER
Father help us to trust Your system of giving and receiving even here on earth. Help us to make Your church a living example of charity, that as we feed, cloth, house, and minister by kingdom principals Your power would be manifest in our midst. For we desire to lift You up that sinners would know, that there is equity at the foot of the cross.... Amen, Amen and Amen.

PRAY
Lord help me to complete the work that You have called me to do... In Christ  Jesus I pray  Amen

MEDITATION - Philippians 1:5-11 (NIV)
5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very naturea God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7 but made himself nothing, taking the very natureb of a servant, being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself  and became obedient to death— even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Php 2:5-11

"NO REGRETS"
Wednesday February 13, 2008

2 Corinthians 7:8-10 (NIV)

8 Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it—I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while—
9 yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us.
10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.
2 Co 7:8-10

A PRAYER
Father You tell us "that it is a fool that despises discipline. For discipline sets boundaries that leads us to Your throne of grace. For Your word  that is sharper then any two edged sword - cut for a little while  to revealed our sin, so we may repent and be saved. We praise You oh God for we who were sorrowful are now filled with joy, for death has been swallowed up in victory through Jesus Christ our Lord... Amen, Amen and Amen.

PRAY
Lord make me to rejoice at the results of Your trials in my life. for they come not to harm me but to place a song of victory and praise in my heart... In Christ  Jesus I pray  Amen

MEDITATION - Ezekiel 18:30-32 (NIV)
30 “Therefore, O house of Israel, I will judge you, each one according to his ways, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.
31 Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, O house of Israel?
32 For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!
Eze 18:30-32

"CLEAR DIVISIONS"
Tuesday February 12, 2008

2 Corinthians 6:14-16 (NIV)

14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
15 What harmony is there between Christ and Beliala? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?
16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”
2 Co 6:14-16

A PRAYER
Father there is no way that we can walk in step with the unrighteous if we are in step with You. For  the righteous are in harmony with Your Spirit and willingly walk in ways that are pleasing to You. For You said "You will be our God and we will be Your people", Rise up and stand out oh people of God for the ways  of the righteous will bare fruit in the land that the wicked will never possess... Amen, Amen and Amen.

PRAY
Lord use your Word t0 carve off any yoke that is keeping me from being fully used by You.... In Christ Jesus I pray  Amen

MEDITATION - 1 Corinthians 13:11 (NIV)
33 “This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
34 No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”
Je 31:33-34

"NO BABY TALK!
Thursday February 7, 2008

2 Corinthians 6:3-13 (NIV)

3 We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited.
4 Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses;
5 in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger;
6 in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love;
7 in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left;
8 through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; 9 known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed;
10 sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

11 We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians, and opened wide our hearts to you.
12 We are not withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours from us.
13 As a fair exchange—I speak as to my children—open wide your hearts also.
2 Co 6:3-13

A PRAYER
Father of creation, again and again You remind us of what we will face, and show us how to live the victorious life no matter what the world thinks or does to us. Thank You for challenging us by the word of Your servant Paul. For we need to live as those who the power of Your resurrection has made alive, and whose stand in Christ can never be shaken.  Amen, Amen and Amen.

PRAY
Lord You called me to behave like an adult not like a child, guide me, that I would be an effective minister with and to Your people -  and give me the heart to lead the lost, blind, and confused to the foot of the cross... In Christ Jesus I pray  Amen

MEDITATION - 1 Corinthians 13:11 (NIV)
11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.1 Co 13:11

"IF NOT NOW WHEN?
Wednesday February 6, 2008

2 Corinthians 6:1-2 (NIV)

1 As God’s fellow workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain.
2 For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.
”I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor,  now is the day of salvation.
2 Co 6:1-2

A PRAYER
We are privileged to be loved by You Oh God, for we are the work of Your hands, and we have been fearfully and wonderfully created in Your image. Woe on us if we keep Your favor and salvation in a closet and never cloth ourselves in it. for that would be like choosing filthy rags over royal garments. For we must choose this day who we will serve, and not waver on entering Your gates with thanksgiving, and dwelling in You courts with praise both now and forever Amen, Amen and Amen.

PRAY
I thank You oh God for Your favor and salvation, may I do with it all that You have purposed for me, not tomorrow - but now... In Christ Jesus I pray  Amen

MEDITATION - John 13:12-17 (NIV)
12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them.
13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.
14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.
15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.
16 I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
Jn 13:12-17

"GOD APPOINTS AMBASSADORS!"
Tuesday February 5, 2008

2 Corinthians 5:14-21 (NIV)

14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.
15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:
19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Co 5:14-21

A PRAYER
Oh God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ You have appointed us as ambassadors, called to represent Your message of reconciliation through Christ. Let us put away our selfish ambitions and minister Your message of grace to those in the world that think they are alive but yet are dead. Oh God who defeated sin in Christ to You be glory honor dominion and power Forever. Amen, Amen and Amen.

PRAY
Guide my steps oh God and keep me as I go forth in the world as Your ambassador in the power of The Holy Spirit... In the mighty Name of Jesus I pray  Amen

MEDITATION - Romans 5:10-11 (NIV)
10 For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
11 Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Ro 5:10-11

"PAID HOUSING"
Monday February 4, 2008

2 Corinthians 5:4-10 (NIV)

4 For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
5 Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
6 Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord.
7 We live by faith, not by sight.
8 We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. 2 Co 5:4-10

A PRAYER
Oh God who will judge the living and the dead, You have sent Christ to pay for our eternal life in Your kingdom when we leave our mortal houses. Even now You have given us the deposit of the Holy Spirit that we could never afford. We praise You Oh God because by faith we know where to place our steps that have been orders from the beginning of time for Your purpose of redeeming us. Help us to share by the power of Your Spirit the gospel of Your great salvation, as we make it our goal to please You, for we will receive the promises reserved for us when we stand at Your judgment in glory. Amen, Amen and Amen.

PRAY
Lord Jesus help me to always please You, and lead me away from ways that are not Your purpose,
for I desire to dwell in Your house forever... In the mighty Name of Jesus I pray  Amen

MEDITATION - Ecclesiastes 12:14 (NIV)
14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil. Ec 12:14

"FOCUS ON THIS"
Friday February 1, 2008

2 Corinthians 4:13-18 (NIV)

14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence.
15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

2 Co 4:13-18

A PRAYER
Father we thank You for the momentary troubles that are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. Help us to fix our eyes on what is not seen, for as Your Word says "what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal". In, through, and to You alone we pray - Amen, Amen and Amen.

PRAY
Thank You oh God for renewing my mind each day, that I would not be deceived by the worries, riches and pleasures of this world, keep me from seeking  to satisfy myself on the perishables, instead of the imperishables... In Jesus Name I pray  Amen

MEDITATION - Hebrews 11:1-3 (NIV)
1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
2 This is what the ancients were commended for.
3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
Heb 11:1-3
