Preparation to go to college could often be stressful. However, getting a head start on this process tends to pay off in the end. When preparing to go to college first conduct some preliminary research. I suggest narrowing down the colleges
that fit your wants and needs and then looking at their financial assistance. It could be several weeks of hard work
but it paid off in the end, like  $80,000. This is the approximated total assistance that I have accumulated in my academic career. Just image if I had to pay all of this out of my pocket what a gigantic whole it could be.

The thing that helped me the most was The Career Services at Roxbury Community College. While under the direction of Mr. Mark Garth, I was able to maximize my financial resources by search only for scholarships I was eligible for. I applied for 10 scholarships and was awarded 8, not bad for someone who had limited time to do this.

Ultimately, winning the award comes down to your essay and qualifications. You must read the application thoroughly and make sure you fit the requirements. It is good insight to call the actual agency just to say hello and get acquainted with their programs so that when you write your letter it also encompassed their mission statement.

Having Excellent Grade Point Average helps.

Participation in leadership positions such as: Honor

Society, Clubs and

volunteering is always a plus

Several ways in getting involved in the community could be researched on the Internet especially at Churchline.com.

The Scholarship Essay is not to be taken lightly, it could me win or lose between candidates. Ways to find out on how to do an award-winning essay ultimately means research again. There are several applicants whose work may have been posted and you could get a sense of style that the committee is looking for. Try not to plagiarize in any way but stay true to the format that they expect.

Once you have been awarded a scholarship, don’t just stop there see what else is available, there is no limit on how many you could apply for. It is important to in get this in motion is planning, and care action. Nothing will happen over night but planting the seed of faith is the best way to acknowledge your maker.

Everything on this Earth belongs to you and you just have to believe in the harvesting. Share this thought with someone, you could make his or her dreams a reality
